Job Description
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Sikkim is inviting applications from Indian nationals for faculty positions at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor (Grade I & II).
Departments: Civil, CSE, EEE, ECE, Mechanical, and Mathematics (Associate Professor only).
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering high-quality academic instruction and curriculum development.
Leading research projects, supervising Ph.D. scholars, and securing external funding.
Participating in departmental administration and institute-level committee work.
Contributing to the growth of the institute through consultancy and community outreach.

Requirements & Skills
Education: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with a First Class in preceding degrees (B.Tech/M.Tech for Engineering; B.Sc/M.Sc for Sciences).
In-breeding Clause: Candidates with a Ph.D. from NIT Sikkim must have a 3-year gap between their Ph.D. award and the application deadline.
Application Fee: ₹1500 (UR/OBC/EWS) / ₹750 (Women/SC/ST/PwD) payable online.
Criteria: Shortlisting is based on credit point scores and academic/research performance as per NIT Statutes.
Selection: Selection includes scrutiny, a written test and/or presentation, and a personal interview.
