The West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) is inviting online applications for the post of Assistant Professor in various State-aided Colleges of West Bengal. Positions are available across Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, Library Science, and more.
Successful candidates will be responsible for academic teaching, conducting research, and participating in the overall development of the students and the institution. The selection process follows a transparent, objective methodology based on academic records, research publications, teaching experience, and interview performance.

Requirements & Skills
Academic Excellence: Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject.
Eligibility Test: Must have cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or SLET/SET. Candidates with a PhD degree as per UGC 2009/2016 Regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
Language Proficiency: Ability to teach in the medium of instruction of the concerned institution.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 01-01-2026 (Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD).
Foreign Degrees: Equivalence certificate from AIU is required for degrees obtained from foreign universities.
